Addendum: Under the tag "Imperium (novel)" is listed material relating to a novel-in-progress. It is historical fiction and in order to maintain a satisfactory level of historical accuracy I must express the opinions and actions of characters whose morality is substantially different from modern ethics. Please do not send me outraged messages (as I have received in the past) at, for example, the anti-Semetic behaviour of Reinhard Heydrich on the third paragraph in chapter twelve. Please do send me outraged messages if I killed off Heydrich in the preceding chapter and failed to notice. Have some common sense!

Also on this journal - to be moved once I can post the edited chapters - is my alternate history novel Imperium 1942, concerning the consequences of a slightly different battle against Auchinleck at (the first battle of) El Alamein. Will Rommel achieve the first victory of Plan Orient, the strategic vision to turn Barbarossa from a single front to a pincer attack? Will he be swiftly defeated, removing Montgomery's name from the history books? Or will the political machinations both in London and Germany produce an entirely different outcome? You'll just have to find out...
